Hernando County deputies are investigating a razor found inside a Little Debbie Snack cake.

Detectives said a 72-year-old woman found the razor Sunday after eating several other cakes in the pack.

"She opened up one of the sealed pies and separated the two cookie halves and found a razor blade buried in the cream of the pie," Captain Alan Alrick of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office said.

A Little Debbie spokesperson said it has the utmost confidence the tampering did not happen at its plant because all products go through two highly sensitive metal detectors before they are shipped.
