Fatal crash in Manatee County

A Bradenton man died Thursday afternoon in an accident on U.S. 41. in Manatee County.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a Toyota Camry driven by 83-year-old Camden Jarvis veered out of its lane and crashed head on into another Toyota Camry driving the opposite direction just north of Seagate Drive.

Jarvis was killed, his wife, Jane Jarvis, was critically injured and the two people in the other car , Amelia and Morris Engel of Bradenton, are in serious condition at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.

Jarvis was the fourth motorist in nine days to die from a traffic accident in Manatee County, according to our partner, The Herald.
