Arrest made in proposition of boy

Manatee County sheriff Charles Wells says detectives have arrested a man in connection with an incident that occurred Monday evening.

Wells said 24-year-old Andrew Emmons of 2904 29th Ave. W. in Bradenton was charged with lewd and lascivious conduct.

He is accused of offering to pay an 11-year-old boy $100 to have sex with him.

The boy told the man no and ran home to tell his father what happened. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of 25th Street West, where the boy and some of his friends were playing.
