Hutton is being held on $1,500 bond.
Pasco County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dariel Renee Hutton, 39, on Tuesday evening after what they said was a crime spree lasting more than five hours.

Deputies say Hutton, of 5312 Trouble Creek Road in New Port Richey, approached the owner of a white Toyota Camry at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at his home. The man, Harold Borza, was selling his car and Hutton expressed interest in it.

Borza gave her the key for a test drive and went into his garage.

"She took off," Borza said. "I had told her not to take the car."

After speeding off and driving over some lawns, Hutton drove to Beall's Outlet on State Road 54.

A loss prevention officer at Bealls said she was shoplifting perfume, hair spray, CDs, DVDs and blue jeans. The officer detained her in his office, but as he left the room to retrieve a key, Hutton forced open the office door and fled.

Hutton ran to a nearby Pizza Hut, chased by the Beall's officer.

Hutton allegedly started her crime spree by taking Harold Borza's car.
A Pizza Hut delivery driver had parked his vehicle near the building, leaving his key in the ignition. Hutton allegedly stole the delivery driver's white Volkswagen and fled the scene.

The sheriff's office said she hit a vehicle at Trouble Creek Road and Croton and fled the scene on foot. Deputies caught Hutton in a parking lot.

Hutton was taken to Community Hospital in New Port Richey to seek medical attention. While sitting in the emergency room prior to being arrested, she tried to grab a deputy's Taser.

Deputies handcuffed Hutton, but she still managed to kick a nurse in the nose.

Hutton was charged with retail theft, resisting a merchant, two counts of grand theft auto, resisting arrest without violence, and DUI. Additional charges may include fleeing the scene of an accident.

She is being held on $1,500 bond.
